SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) has voted to hold high school sports and activities in the Fall 2020 school year with the state restrictions enforced upon the schools.
“99% of the Communication I have received within this last week has been from parents and educators basically saying that our kids are hurting,” Executive Director Rob Cuff told FOX 13. "They’re hurting mentally. They want to return as much as they can.”
The UHSAA will send down general guidelines in order to help schools follow the state's mandates but stricter guidelines will also be enforced by the schools and local authorities.
"This isn’t an all-or-none deal," Cuff said. “We’re going to do whatever we can for those schools that can be involved.”
This is a developing story, check back here for updates later.
