Utah Health Department reports 1,669 new cases of COVID-19 and six additional deaths

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 1,669 new cases of COVID-19 and six additional deaths Tuesday.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 1,726 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 19.1 percent.

366 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in Utah.

The additional deaths reported Tuesday bring the total death toll in the state to 620.

The latest deaths include:

  • Male, between 65-84, Utah County resident, unknown if hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 45-64, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Female, between 45-64, Sanpete County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Tooele County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
