VERNAL, Utah — Another Utah high school football team has been forced to forfeit a playoff game due to COVID-19 cases.
The Uintah School District announced Tuesday that Uintah High School has forfeited Friday's playoff game against Mountain View after members of the team and staff tested positive for the virus.
Uintah's decision comes a day after Fremont High School forfeited their playoff game because of COVID-19 cases.
A district official said those with the Uintah team have been quarantined since Oct. 13 after coming in contact with someone who tested positive during a team meeting the day before. The official said masks were not worn during the meeting.
