Sunday's report from the Utah Department of Health shows seven-day average gradually decreasing, but hospitalizations rising.
New Cases
3,197 new cases have been reported, which brings the statewide total to 177,176.
Testing
An additional 13,641 tests have been conducted since Saturday's report. 1,344,945 people in Utah have now been tested for COVID-19.
The rolling seven-day average is now 3,310, or approximately 23.5% of those tested.
Hospitalizations
556 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 7,532 hospitalizations since March.
Deaths
Six new deaths have been reported, bringing Utah's total deaths to 793. The newly reported deaths include:
- Male, between 65-84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 45-64, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, between 65-84, Weber County resident, hospitalized at time of death
