SALT LAKE CITY — As Utah enters another cold weather season, University of Utah Health is announcing its plans to move most of its COVID-19 testing facilities indoors.
"University of Utah Health began testing for COVID-19 outdoors as a fast and efficient way to test patients at the start of the pandemic. Since March, University of Utah Health worked with Infection Prevention and Control to safely take care of our patients and test patients for COVID-19," a news release from U of U Health said.

The healthcare system also plans to expand testing at all 12 of its health centers. Further details about the transition to indoor testing are expected to be released Tuesday morning.
