State reports over 500 new COVID-19 cases for the third day in a row

Sunday’s report from the Utah Department of Health included 628 new COVID-19 cases, and no new deaths.

The new cases bring the statewide total to 57,875 since March.

Approximately 48,690 of those are cases are considered to be recovered, having tested positive for the virus three weeks ago, and not passing away as a result of it.

716,873 people have been tested across the state, including 4,644 new tests reported since Saturday.

Utah’s seven-day rolling average of positive cases is 454, or approximately 9.3% of those tested.

129 people are currently hospitalized in connection to COVID-19. 3,326 people have been hospitalized since the pandemic began in March.

Utah's fatality rate remains at 433.
