ROY, Utah — The entire Roy High School football team has been quarantined due to players testing positive for COVID-19.

School officials announced Monday that a third member of the team had tested positive within the past two weeks. With the order, 13 coaches and 81 players were notified that they must remain in quarantine for a period of 14 days.

Roy's scheduled game Friday against Weber High School has been canceled. It has not been decided if that game will be rescheduled at a later date.

According to district policy, whenever three or more players test positive for COVID-19 during a two-week time frame, the entire team, classroom or group should be quarantined.
