SALT LAKE CITY — Once again, new COVID-19 cases have risen above 1,000 in Utah on Thursday.
The Utah Department of Health announced 1,008 new cases, bringing the total number in the state to 74,050. Thursday's mark is the first time new COVID-19 cases have hit over 1,000 since Sept. 27.
However, the state's current rolling seven-day average for positive tests dropped to 987 per day, and a rolling average of 13.6% in positive laboratory tests.
With no new deaths, Utah's death toll remains at 459.
