More than 18,000 additional vaccines administered in Saturday's COVID-19 case count from UDOH

New Cases
1,468 new cases have been reported, for a total of 345,430 statewide.

Testing
An additional 8,768 new tests have been performed, for a total of 2,018,175.
The rolling seven-day average of positive tests is now 1,509, or approximately 18% of those tested.

Hospitalizations
430 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 13,427 hospitalizations since March of 2020.

Deaths
The state is reporting eight new deaths, for a total of 1,636. The newly reported deaths include:

  • Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Cache County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, older than 85, Weber County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccinations
18,719 additional vaccinations have been administered, bringing the statewide total to 300,516.
