If you've driven along I-215 in West Valley City over the past few months, you've seen lines of cars waiting for COVID-19 tests in the south parking lot of the Maverik Center.
However, with events starting back up both inside and outside of the Maverik Center, the testing site has moved.

The new location is one block north of the original site in the parking lot. It's now located at 2051 W. 3100 South.
According to Salt Lake County Health, the Maverik Center site has seen a significant drop in testing since the Thanksgiving holiday. The week before Thanksgiving, the site conducted nearly 3,000 tests. The following week, only 1,100.
Health officials also want to remind testing site patients to register prior to showing up for a test at any of the county testing locations in order to keep the process moving smoothly. They also want to remind those wanting tests that county testing sites are for people who are showing symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19. If you're wanting a test out for other reasons, they recommend any of the 'Test Utah' locations.
A new Salt Lake County testing site has opened at the Utah State Fairpark and is offering free rapid testing from Monday-Saturday between 11 a.m and 7 p.m. The site is being operated by the Utah Department of Health.
