Health Dept.: Utah sees second-highest daily increase with 495 new COVID-19 cases

Utah now has 15,839 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and the Utah Department of Health's latest report shows the state's second-highest single-day increase of COVID-19 case counts since the beginning of the pandemic.

Utah's COVID-19 case count increased by 495 cases since Wednesday's report. The highest single-day increase occurred on June 5, with 556 new confirmed cases.

According to Thursday's report, 282,685 people in Utah have been tested for the disease.

1,120 people in Utah have been hospitalized and 152 people have died of COVID-19.
