SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health's COVID-19 report for Tuesday shows an increase of 3,178 confirmed cases—bringing the state's total to 158,957—and nine additional deaths.
So far, 1,265,600 people in Utah have been tested for the disease and the state's rolling seven-day average for the percent of positive tests is 24.4.
The rolling seven-day average for the number of positive tests is 3,057 per day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 6,988 people in Utah have required hospitalization for COVID-19. Of those, 512 remain hospitalized.
732 people in Utah have died of COVID-19. The deaths reported Tuesday are:
- Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, Weber County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65-84, Juab County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, older than 85, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Male, between 65-84, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
- Female, older than 85, Beaver County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, long-term care facility resident
