Health Department reports 2,244 new COVID-19 cases in Utah Monday, 4 new deaths

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 2,244 news cases of COVID-19 Monday and four new deaths

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 3,349 per day, and the rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 23.6 percent.

There are 545 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in Utah.

With the four additional deaths, the death toll in Utah remains at 797.

  • Female, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84 , Washington County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
