SALT LAKE CITY — Fourth Street Clinic is continuing its mission to provide COVID-19 vaccine doses for Salt Lake County's homeless population by bringing a mobile vaccine clinic to the county's homeless resource centers.

"It's really not a small task to start vaccinating, and they jumped in, full-on, rolled their sleeves up and I think the whole clinic just feels excited and happy," said Fourth Street Clinic CEO Janida Emerson.

The clinic received 80 COVID-19 vaccine doses from the Salt Lake County Health Department. They expect to administer about 30 doses Monday at the county's vulnerable population motel Monday.

Emerson said the homeless population can be difficult to track, but Fourth Street Clinic has partnered with other local organizations to come up with a system to reach members of the homeless community in time for their second doses.
