Eleven new COVID-19 deaths – including two from 2020 – in Saturday's report from UDOH

New Cases
1,771 additional cases have been reported, for a total of 334,889.

Testing
10,001 new tests have been performed, for a total of 1,958,154. The rolling-seven day average of positive cases is now 1,804, or roughly 18.9% of those tested.

Hospitalizations
481 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. 12,948 people in Utah have been hospitalized since March.

Deaths
11 new deaths have been reported, for a total of 1,582. Two of those deaths occurred in 2020, and have been ruled related to COVID-19 by the State Medical Examiner’s office.
The newly reported deaths include:

  • Male, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, older than 85, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 45-65, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 45-64, Duchesne County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Sanpete County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccine Distribution
15,148 new vaccines have been administered. Overall, 222,275 vaccines have been given. 27,542 of those given the vaccine have received both doses.
