HEBER CITY, Utah — Wasatch High School officials announced Thursday evening the school would move to online-only learning due to the rise in positive COVID-19 cases in the area.

The Heber City school will switch to online classes on Monday, with a scheduled return to in-person class on Monday, Oct. 26. Fall break will run through the online window.

"Our in-school mitigation efforts have proven to be effective. However, the recent increase in community COVID cases has had a direct impact on our high school students and staff." a statement on the school's website read.

No other schools in the district will move to online-learning.
