WEST JORDAN, Utah — Another local high school has canceled football games due to its student-athletes being diagnosed with COVID-19.
The Jordan School District announced Copper Hills High School has canceled the team's next two games: Friday vs. Riverton and the Oct. 2 game vs. Jordan. The school has not announced how many students have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Copper Hills was closed to all students Tuesday for deep cleaning after 16 positive cases were reported on campus. The school was allowed to reopen on Wednesday.
West Jordan High School, another school in the Jordan district, also canceled its game scheduled for Friday due to COVID-19 cases in the state.
