943 new COVID-19 cases, five new deaths reported on Saturday

New Cases
943 new cases have been reported, for a total of 360,584.

Testing
6,803 additional tests have been performed, for a total of 2,117,562. The rolling seven-day average of positive tests is now 987 per day, or roughly 14.4% of those tested.

Hospitalizations
298 are currently hospitalized. There have been 14,151 hospitalizations in Utah since March of 2020.

Deaths
Five new deaths have been reported, for a total of 1,790. The newly reported deaths include:

  • Male, between 65-84, Iron County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Tooele County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 45-64, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Utah County resident, not hospitalized at time of death

Vaccinations
22,473 additional vaccines have been administered, for a total of 512,189.
