701 new cases, 10 new deaths in Sunday's COVID-19 case count

New Cases
An additional 701 new cases have been reported, for a statewide total of 366,735.

Testing
5,477 new tests have been conducted, for a statewide total of 2,163,613. The rolling seven-day average of positive tests is now 777 per day, or roughly 13.58%

Hospitalizations
241 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Since the pandemic began, 14,445 Utahns have been hospitalized.

Deaths
An additional 10 deaths have been reported, for a statewide total of 1,852. Seven of the newly reported deaths happened before February 1, 2021. The newly reported deaths include:

  • Male, between 65-84, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Female, 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 65-84, Iron County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Utah County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Female, between 65-84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, older than 85, Sevier County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 65-84, Davis County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccinations
An additional 9,123 vaccines have been distributed, for a statewide total of 607,557. Of those, 205,338 have been immunized with both doses.
