1,354 new COVID-19 cases in Utah Saturday; 5 new deaths bring total to 510

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 1,354 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, and five additional deaths.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 1,187 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 13.7 percent.

There are 231 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in Utah. That number is up 55 from Friday.

The latest deaths reported Saturday include:

  • Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, unknown county of residence (resident of Southeast Utah Health District), not hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
