3 Questions with Bob Evans: Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders

SALT LAKE CITY — Back in 2016, he was the presidential candidate who surprised a lot of people around the country — and especially here in Utah.

Last week, he won the primary in the Beehive State again as a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.

Sen. Bernie Sanders is a self-described socialist Democrat who believes billionaires should pay more taxes, college should be free and that medical care is a human right.

Young Utah Democrats love him.

Older Utah Republicans don't understand why.

When Sanders stopped in Salt Lake City last week on the day before Super Tuesday, FOX 13’s Bob Evans asked him three questions:

  1. What more can the federal government do to clean Utah's bad air?
  2. Can you win in Utah with your views on wealth, the economy and healthcare?
  3. Can you beat President Donald Trump in Utah?
