HEALTH & FITNESS
I have been attempting to live a vegetarian lifestyle since August 2019. I am continuing to do so and am feeling better without any cravings for a steak or burger. I have been trying alternatives to meat like Beyond Meat and have been ok. My family can not understand how I am able to be a vegetarian but for now and the time being it is working for me. I have been going to Lifetime Fitness in South Jordan(fabulous place by the way) and have had to tone down the intensity of the workouts due to that damn nemesis...injury.
TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED
I am not the only one who has been struggling with a death in the family this month and feeling effects of mental stress and anxiety. I attended my uncle’s funeral. It was good to catch up with family and friends and restrengthen family ties.
Then we all got hit with the passing of nine people as a result of a helicopter crash including NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. I was not instantly affected by his passing because I am not a Los Angeles Laker fan, however as I looked back at my life I realized that there were all theses Easter eggs of Kobe-isms and influence. My daughters fell in love with basketball and Kobe because their first ever NBA game was a Utah Jazz game when Kobe Bryant came visiting. This is a milestone and a start to building a great relationship with my daughters through basketball...thanks Kobe.
