With the cost of school supplies rising, more students are going into the classroom without the supplies they need to succeed.
The FOX 13 "Back to School Blitz" is a school supply drive to benefit students in the Murray, Granite, Canyons, Jordan and Salt Lake City School districts.
On Thursday, August 15, FOX 13 will be collecting school supply donations at the Smith's Marketplace located at 9000 South and Redwood Road in West Jordan. Most needed items include:
• Backpacks
• Lunchboxes
• Pencils
• Pencil sharpeners
• Erasers
• Colored pencils
• Crayons
• Markers
• Highlighters
• Glue sticks
• Scissors (safety scissors for younger students)
• Rulers
• Notebooks
• Loose-leaf paper
• Binders
• Folders
• Index cards
• Pencil case
• Calculator (basic)
• Water bottle
• Hand sanitizer
• Tissues
• Sticky notes
• Dry erase markers
For those who can't donate in person, you can help students by filling out the form above and making a donation that will make a real, lasting difference for Utah students.
