  • BYU will not join Big 12… for now

    After months of expansion talk, the Big 12 has decided it will not expand its conference, following a Presidents’ meeting Monday morning. No expansion candidate, including BYU, received the super-majority vote (8 of 10 teams) needed to be added, according to ESPN. However, none of the teams being considered as an addition to the Big 12 received a vote. BYU released the following statement:

  • Fans tailgating on eve of ‘Holy War’ game in Salt Lake City

    SALT LAKE CITY — The match-up between Utah and BYU may be on Saturday, but Friday night fans were already tailgating for the game. FOX 13 Sports’ Rebecca Cade was live outside Rice-Eccles Stadium Friday night, where several dedicated Utah fans were gathered to support their team and talk a little trash.     PROVO, UTAH – At least 11 members of the BYU football coaching staff spent their college days playing for the Cougars, including Head Coach Kalani Sitake and Offensive Coordinator Ty Detmer.
