Winter Storm hits Utah; snow accumulation to range from inches to several feet

Wednesday Night Forecast:

A potent Winter Storm moved into Utah Wednesday, delivering measurable snowfall that will accumulate over the next several days.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of the state.

The highest amounts of snow will accumulate in the Wasatch Mountains, Cache Valley, the Northern Wasatch Front, the Wasatch Back and some bench locations throughout the day. As temperatures drop, so will snow levels and snow will eventually reach the valley floors.

By Friday evening, Northern Utah valleys can expect 6”-12” of snow accumulation. Benches can expect 10”-18”, and the mountains will receive one foot to as much as four feet of snow.
