Multiple winter storms expected to bring snow to Utah early this week

SALT LAKE CITY -- Sunday will be the final day of fall temperatures before storms bring winter weather to the state this week.

The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories starting at 4 a.m. Monday through 4 p.m. Tuesday in Box Elder, Cache, Carbon, Daggett, Davis, Duchesne, Emery, Grand, Juab, Millard, Morgan, Rich, Salt Lake, San Juan, Sanpete, Sevier, Summit, Tooele, Uintah, Utah, Wasatch and Weber counties.

These areas can expect 1-4 inches of snow with possibly higher totals on the benches. Drivers in northern and central Utah should plan for slippery road conditions beginning with the Monday morning commute.

Higher elevations could see up to 7 inches of snow.

The storm is expected to make its way into Southern Utah by the end of the day. Other counties are on a winter storm watch from the NWS throughout the week. Click here to view your area's advisories, watches and warnings.

A second storm will roll into the Wasatch Front on Tuesday, dropping temperatures sticking around through the weekend, impacting travel conditions for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday.

High temperatures for the week are not expected to get above the low 40s, with overnight lows in the 20s.
