OREM, Utah — OREM, Utah – One person is in custody and police are looking for two other men after an exchange of gunfire prompted a SWAT response at an off-campus student housing complex for Utah Valley University.

Nicholas Jordan, 23, is now in the Utah County jail, where he’s being held on an existing warrant for drug possession.

Police said he’ll now face charges relating to the shooting.

Two groups of young men opened fire on one another around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Promenade Place Apartments.

By the time the first officers arrived, all involved had left the area.

A SWAT team arrived and located Jordan and three others inside one of the apartments. All four were taken into custody.

Three were later released while Jordan was arrested.

The search continues for at least two other men who are considered armed and dangerous.

There were no injuries reported.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or who has information about the parties involved is asked to call the Orem Police Department.
