SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police said they served a search warrant at a home in the Fairpark area that is related to the MacKenzie Lueck case.

Neighbors tell Fox 13 police arrived at the home near 500 North and 1000 West around noon Wednesday. The home is near the park where Lueck was last seen.

A gray Kia sedan was towed away from the home just after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and neighbors said police have spoken with the home owner, but it's not clear what came of that conversation.

Officers have been on scene with K-9 units and forensic personnel.

Police secured DNA of some kind in the home but said it is still being tested, and vans have taken evidence of some kind from the home.

The case remains an open investigation and is still a missing persons case, police said. An update is expected later Thursday morning.

SLCPD Assistant Chief Tim Doubt said, "Obviously we are treating this with a high degree of care and caution as it is an open case and given the nature of this case, we just don't want to make any mistakes. We will continue to follow leads until this is resolved."

SLC PD has set up a dedicated tip line for this case at 801-799-4420.

This is a developing story. It will be updated as new information becomes available.
