SALT LAKE CITY -- Wednesday marks nine days since MacKenzie Lueck was last seen and friends of the missing University of Utah student put out a plea for her safe return and asked others to join in.

“We are looking for you,” Michelle Galison said in the video.

Lueck’s former sorority sister of posted the video online Wednesday morning, hopeful Lueck will come home.

“I hope you’re okay, even if you’re laughing on the couch somewhere about this, I hope you at least tell someone you’re okay,” Galison said in the video.

Galison told FOX 13, “I want to know she’s alive and safe because I love her and when you love someone, you do whatever you can to help them.”

Salt Lake Police Detective Michael Ruff said the department has received more than 200 tips to the dedicated hotline.

“Obviously, we are researching every tip we get,” Ruff said. “We take it seriously and if you do have something, please call us.”

A substantial amount of resources are being used to find Lueck, Ruff said. The department is anxiously hoping someone will come forward with enough information to bring the search to an end.

“We are investigating every aspect of anything we can find to help us find MacKenzie,” Ruff said.

The missing student has brought a national spotlight on Salt Lake City. Police say they haven’t had a missing person this high-profile since Elizabeth Smart in 2002.

The post states anyone who wishes to submit a message should contact the page administrators.

Anyone with information about Lueck's whereabouts should call Salt Lake City Police at their dedicated tip line, 801-799-4420.

Police said Tuesday they are investigating "all facets" of the missing woman's life in their efforts to locate her.
