Update: Traffic is using the right shoulder for eastbound Interstate 80; the I-84 to I-80 flyover is still closed. Utah Highway Patrol said all traffic from I-84 is being required to go westbound; anyone going eastbound will have to exit at Coalville and turn around.
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A semitrailer rollover forced the closure of part of I-80 in Summit County Thursday afternoon after spilling produce and some diesel fuel, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
UHP said the driver was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the North Summit Fire Department, the rollover occurred near milepost 168, at the Echo Junction.
The rollover crash led to a fuel spill, forcing the closure of all of the eastbound lanes and the eastbound I-84 to eastbound I-80 ramp.
UHP said the I-84 ramp eastbound to I-80 is closed.
