SALT LAKE CITY — A man with special needs who disappeared after a Utah Jazz game Monday night has been found and appears to be in good condition.

Mickey Sargent, 71, is a client of TURN Community Services, which serves adults with intellectual disabilities.

Sargent and others from TURN were attending the game when he wandered away from the group.

On Tuesday afternoon around 2:30, the organization received a call from Murray Police reporting Sargent had been found.

Dave Hennessey, Executive Director of TURN Community Services, said a passenger on a TRAX train saw Sargent riding the train in the morning and again in the afternoon before notifying the conductor.

Hennessey said Sargent seems to be doing well but will be checked out by doctors at Utah Valley Hospital.

Sargent was still holding onto a handful of brochures from the Jazz game, which is what drew him away from his group in the first place, according to Hennessey.

Hennessey says they are looking at the incident to make sure that it doesn’t happen again.
