Third day of searching ends with no sign of toddler reported missing in San Juan County

SATURDAY UPDATE: A water search and a ground search Saturday turned up no sign of four-year-old Anndine Jones who has been missing since March 14.

The Navajo Tribal Police Department put out a missing person flier with a photo and description of the young girl. It asks anyone with information about the girl to call the Shiprock, New Mexico office at 505-368-1350 or 1351.

UPDATE: Authorities on the Navajo Nation stated Friday’s search has turned up “no trace” of the missing toddler.

Search efforts have ended for the night and will resume Saturday.

ANETH, Utah — Volunteers and public safety personnel are searching for a young girl who disappeared Thursday.

According to officials with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, Anndine Jones was with her family in the area of Aneth and Montezuma Creek when she disappeared.

Public safety workers with Navajo Police Department, San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and Montezuma Creek Fire and EMS began looking for Anndine on Thursday afternoon. The searches were conducted on foot, in the air and on the river.

Volunteers interested in assisting with the search can meet at the Aneth Chapter House.
