MILLCREEK, Utah — Unified Police arrested two men after a carjacking that ended in a crash in Salt Lake County Thursday.
Police arrested Justin Sheridan, 24 and Cory Webb, 24.
Unified Police said the incident began as a hit-and-run crash involving a stolen vehicle. As police pursued the vehicle, a second vehicle was carjacked near 1660 E Murray Holladay Rd. Police said the carjacking suspect may be armed.
Shelter-in-place protocol was initiated for nearby Olympus Jr. High and Crestview Elementary schools while police searched for one of the suspects. As of 1:35 p.m., according to the Granite School District Facebook page, the protocol has been lifted at both schools.
