OGDEN, Utah — A Corporal with Weber County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division was arrested on 11 counts of custodial sexual relations after two inmates said they had sex with him while in custody.

Police arrested Jeremy Miller on Thursday as the result of an internal investigation that began in November 2018. According to a press release, Miller has been on paid administrative leave since December 10, 2018.

A statement of probable cause indicates investigators spoke with two female inmates at the Weber County Jail. One woman reported having sex with the man as many as 10 times while another reported one encounter.

Both women said the encounters occurred in the jail and described them as "consensual", however it is illegal for a correctional officer to have sexual relations with an inmate under any circumstances.

One woman said Miller lied about giving her his personal cell phone number so they could pursue a relationship after her release.

A press release stated Miller's case has been referred to the Weber County Attorney's Office for the continuing criminal investigation.

Miller has been booked into the Box Elder County Jail due to the conflict of interest with the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
