WEST JORDAN, Utah -- One person who was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in West Jordan Sunday night was identified by police.
It happened just after 9 p.m. in the area of 6200 South and Airport Rd. near the South Valley Regional Airport.
Police said Joseph Charles Clapp, 53, of Kearns, was walking across the street when he was hit.
They said he was not in a crosswalk and that the area is poorly lit at night.
Investigators say the driver was not impaired and was cooperating with police.
