Weber County Sheriff’s Office recovers stolen items from Farr West

FARR WEST, Utah — If you were a victim of theft on November 7, you might be in luck – detectives with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office recovered several items of stolen property recently.

According to their Facebook page, the sheriff’s office recently arrested a male who confessed to stealing items from garages left open in the Farr West area, likely west of I-15.

Wesley Clark Clayson, 33, faces three counts of theft, as well as two counts of unlawful firearm possession — Clayson has been convicted before, of multiple felonies — two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon while under the influence and two counts of drug possession.

According to official documents, police approached Clayson after a somebody called to complain about a “suspicious male” in a truck with several bikes in it. Upon finding Clayson and the truck, officers found several items.

Clayson told police most of the items had been taken out of a friend’s storage unit, and said he didn’t know if any of them were stolen, according to police.

After being questioned by detectives, police said Clayson admitted to knowing the items were stolen, and also admitted to being a drug user and recently using meth.
