WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah — A man was arrested in Washington Terrace Tuesday following a police situation involving a domestic dispute and a handgun.

According to a press release made by the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. about a domestic situation near 5500 S. 150 E.

During the course of the 911 complaint, the press release stated that the caller said they saw a suspect, identified as Carson Lowe, go out to his vehicle and grab a handgun. The complainant was able to lock the door so Lowe could not get inside, the release said.

Deputies stated that when they arrived at the scene of the complaint, they encountered in Lowe in the roadway outside of a home. They stated that Lowe would not show deputies both hands, concealing one behind his back.

Lowe entered his vehicle and continued to refuse to comply to deputy’s commands, the press release stated. At one point, he allegedly attempted to enter the home, then went to the back of the house and tried to enter through the back door.

Deputies tried to use a taser on Lowe,  but were unsuccessful, the press release stated. Carson allegedly fled the area after trying to enter the home through the back, and a handgun was found on-scene.

After an extensive search, Lowe was located near Glassman Pond, officials wrote.

Carson was booked into Weber County Jail for interfering with an arresting officer, interruption of a communication device and intoxication, the press release said.
