SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah — One person was seriously injured in a crash that snarled traffic in Lambs Canyon for several hours Thursday Morning.
The Utah Department of Transportation first tweeted about the crash around 6:40 a.m., stating two left lanes of eastbound I-80 were closed at mile post 136 in Lambs Canyon.
While all lanes have since reopened and traffic is moving again, congestion remains in the area.
Utah Highway Patrol stated a driver rear-ended a truck that was towing a flatbed trailer, and a total of four vehicles were involved in the resulting crash.
The person who rear-ended the truck was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of another vehicle was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries as a precaution.
