SOUTH JORDAN, Utah —TRAX service is still affected Tuesday after two people suffered minor injuries in a crash involving a TRAX train and another vehicle.

A UTA spokesman said it happened at 10605 S Grandville, and UTA alerted its customers about the incident at 8:21 p.m. Monday.

The injured people are one of the passengers on the train and a female who was in the other vehicle.

UTA activated a van bridge to shuttle the affected TRAX passengers between the Daybreak and 5600 W Old Bingham stops. A bus bridge remains in effect Tuesday and is expected to persist throughout the day.

UTA spokesman Carl Arky said the damage to the train means they will not be able to move it until late Tuesday night.

“This will continue to impact just two of the TRAX stations on the Red Line, the Daybreak Parkway Station and the South Jordan Parkway Station,” a press release states. “For the reminder of [Tuesday], UTA will transport passengers via a bus bridge.”

The Blue and Green lines are not affected.

Crews are also working on the power lines affected by the crash, and they say the crossing on South Jordan Parkway at 10605 Grandville will be closed to drivers through the day as that work continues.
