SALT LAKE CITY — A missing Salt Lake City woman returned home Friday evening after the woman, 28-year-old Michelle Mann, went missing in Salt Lake City Thursday night.
Family members had said Mann was last seen near 1300 E. 100 S. in the University area at around 11 p.m. Thursday, when the art teacher left to go buy art supplies.
Mann is the wife of community activist and former House District 24 candidate, Darin Mann. Dozens of friends, family and members of the community jumped in to help search for Michelle Mann.
Family said 100 volunteers posted fliers and drove around several areas from Salt Lake City up toward Idaho.
Friday afternoon, Mann’s white Toyota Prius had been located on 200 West north of the I-15 exit in Farmington, with a flat tire.
A Salt Lake City Police officer responded to where the car was located, and police confirmed they became involved in the investigation and were assisting the family.
Later in the afternoon, family said police located surveillance footage at the Farmington TRAX station showing Mann at the station around 2:30 a.m. Friday. However, there was no sign of her after that.
Friday evening, family members said Mann had safely returned home. She was reunited with her family, and they asked for her privacy.
Family of Michelle Mann expressed appreciation for everyone who joined the search for her.
