The Salt Lake Tribune gave six homeless people cameras and asked them to photograph their lives. Here’s what they showed us.

Perspectives: Life on the streets

What is it like to be homeless in Salt Lake City? How do these people see the world? The Salt Lake Tribune has published many stories about homelessness in recent years, particularly about the ongoing Operation Rio Grande, intended to combat crime and drug use around the downtown homeless shelter.

Some of those articles have included the voices of people who live on the streets. This time, we handed out some disposable cameras and asked these Utahns to give us an inside look at their day-to-day experiences.

We present the stories of six homeless people, told through their photos.
