SCOFIELD STATE PARK — An algal bloom has been detected at Carbon County's Scofield Reservoir, and the Utah Department of Environmental Quality recommends no swimming there.

According to DEQ, water tests indicate the presence of cyanobacteria, which pose serious health risks to people and animals.

Drinking water has not been affected.
