SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — 30-50 acres were burned in Saratoga Springs after target practice caused a wildfire to break out.

A wildfire burned 30-50 acres of land on Lake Mountain above the Fox Hollow neighborhood early Thursday evening.

Power lines did fall after being burned in the blaze, according to Owen Jackson, Saratoga Springs’ assistant city manager.

A number of agencies responded to the fire, including 12 brush units and air support, who assisted with dropping retardant.

Unified Fire Authority said no injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.

Jackson said target shooting was allegedly happening in the area where the fire started.
