Missing woman found dead in St. George

UPDATE: St. George News reports missing woman Amanda Matthews was found deceased near the Sand Hollow Wash Trail Monday.

St. George News reports police are investigating the death as an apparent suicide.

Fox 13 News does not generally report on incidents that appear to be a suicide unless there is a broader impact to the public, such as the resolution of a missing person’s case.

ST. GEORGE – Southern Utah authorities are searching for 23-year-old Amanda Matthews after she was last seen near the Tuweap Trailhead on Wednesday, June 20th.

St. George Police say Matthews is about 5’08” tall and weighs around 160 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
