LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah — A man was flown to a hospital in serious condition after crashing and rolling down a steep embankment in Little Cottonwood Canyon Sunday night.
Unified Police say the 52-year-old man driving the vehicle lost control and hit a rock, after which the vehicle rolled down a steep embankment. The crash occurred just after 9 p.m.
The man is in serious condition and was flown to a hospital via medical helicopter.
The crash occurred just west of Snowbird, and UPD says the man was traveling down the canyon at the time.
The Utah Department of Transportation stated SR-210 was closed in both directions near Snowbird Entry 1 after the crash.
There were no other vehicles involved and no other injuries reported.
