SALT LAKE CITY – It’s a brave new world with electric cars, autonomous vehicles that drive themselves, and talk of someday soon not even needing a driver’s license.
These concepts are no longer science fiction, but science fact. And no one is looking forward to the future more than NASA Ambassador to Utah Patrick Wiggins, who also happens to be one of the biggest technology geeks we could find.
Wiggins sat down with Bob Evans for 3 Questions:
- What is it about electric vehicles that makes them more attractive than cars with internal combustion engines?
- What has to happen for consumers to get over the challenge of trusting an autonomous vehicle?
- What effect will autonomous vehicles have on issues like safety, air pollution, traffic congestion and transportation costs?
