LAYTON, Utah — A home sustained significant damage after a fire broke out in Layton Sunday, and three firefighters were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Crews responded to the fire in the area of 900 East and 300 North in Layton, and Fox 13 News first heard report of the fire around 4:10 p.m.

Video shot by Jonathan Fielding shows the smoke and flames, see the video embedded above for that footage.

Jason Cook of the Layton City Fire Department said the damage is estimated at $150,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation but is not considered suspicious.

The homeowners were not at home when the fire broke out. Those residents have been displaced and are staying with nearby family.

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Two dogs were rescued from the home by neighbors, but two hamsters, a chinchilla, a bird and a turtle died in the fire.
