BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — A wildfire that started Sunday near Honeyville has burned 800 acres and is still 25 percent contained as of Monday.

"Thankfully, the fire has stayed the same as it was [Sunday], holding at 800 acres and 25% contained.  We are grateful for those 40+ firefighters on this fire and their willingness to continue to battle fires this season!," a news release from Box Elder County said.

Box Elder County officials remind the public to keep drones away from wildfires, as they interfere with the aircraft deployed to fight wildfires.

"It shuts down air support which puts the firefighters in danger as well as slows the progress of their ability to fight the fires," the news release said.

About 40 firefighters from several agencies were dispatched to contain the Honeyville Fire.

There are no structures threatened and the fire has not prompted any evacuations at this time. Zundel says they are asking the public not to call 911 to report the fire, saying they are well aware of the blaze and need to keep those phone lines free for other calls.

Fox 13's Lauren Handley reports that it appears the fire began on state land near a fence and then spread up the mountain and onto Forest Service land.
