Lockdown lifted at Hyrum schools as deputies search for armed robbery suspects

HYRUM, Utah – The Cache County Sheriff’s Office is warning Hyrum residents to lock windows and doors as authorities search for two robbery suspects who may be armed.

Officials placed Hyrum-area schools on lockdown as a precaution, which has since been lifted.

Deputies said a man went into a Subway restaurant and threatened workers at gunpoint.

Authorities said the robbery suspect ran with another man who was waiting outside.

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office said officers are searching for the two suspects.

Officers said one suspect is a Hispanic man last seen wearing a black jacket and charcoal sweats.

The second suspect is described as an African American man who was wearing a navy blue beanie hat and sweatpants.
