SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - There are a lot of infectious diseases going around and there's a good chance your children, or some kids you know, will be exposed to them.

So is it a cold, the flu, or something else?

Dr. Per Gesteland is a pediatrician at Primary Children's Hospital.

He has developed a new app to track illnesses and diseases and give advice to parents about what to do if their children get sick.

Dr. Gesteland joined Max, Kerri and Kelly on Good Day Utah Thursday to talk about his new app.
